Gary Whelan 2 photos a month ago Love the look (and so do the neighbours) of the new driveway- walkway and patio/steps. Was in City of Ottawa Rain Ready area so received a rebate. Great work by Dylan and team. Communications were good and all questions/concerns were answered. Bought the longer term conditioning to keep it looking good for years to come. Ice and snow melts - water passes right through.

So happy with this project! The team did great work with impressively little mess, and the finished product was beautiful. If I had any concern it was how winter would go, and so far (although it's the first winter) it's been great. Water drains right through the driveway so as soon as the sun hits it at anywhere near freezing temperature, the water just goes through. The pictures are from this morning (22 February) just after shovelling about a cm of snow at +2C. The walkway and drive show a bit of snow, with a bare patch in the drive where the car was; the drain is empty as the previous snow has melted away. There has been one day when ice formed from dripping off the roof, but even that melted from below after a few days so it was easy to get rid of it. Another great benefit was that the depth of gravel under the walkway allowed us to put a drain from the side of the house underneath it, draining out to the street. Since then we've had no more water in the basement. Many thanks to Alan for his help (and his patience) in the design phase, and to Dylan and the team for a great job on the build!

It took 2 years for us to decide on PurePave technology for our driveway. The cost was the main barrier. But we did our research, spoke with neighbours who have chosen this. PurePave also provided several ‘references’ and I spoke to every one on the list! Everyone was pleased with the result. We had excellent communication with the team - starting from Alan (sales), to Teresa (office) and Dylan, the team lead. We spoke with Taylor (the founder of this technology) as well. All our questions were answered to our satisfaction - it took a few ‘rounds’ of interviews/in person meetings - before we signed on the dotted line. There was a longer than expected wait due to some equipment issues, but we were informed in a very timely fashion. We were pleased with the crew - arrived on time, always available for questions, and they did a great job. The driveway looks amazing. We added some landscaping work as well and glad we did. This is our first winter and so far, the snow melts away quickly (when the temperature is above zero) and with my husband’s efforts in reducing the ice load, the driveway is bare!! One of my fears of our Ottawa winters is the black ice and fall risk. I can say that there is good ‘traction’ and I feel less fearful of walking in the winter months down our driveway. We feel this has been a good decision for us.

I love my Pure Pave driveway! I’ve noticed that snow melts far easier and there is rarely any ice build up. Dylan was great to work with and his crew were amazing.

Dylan and team hit expectations and delivered as promised. We had a big job requiring a grade fix to the entire property (back, side, and front) the construction of a large 120 FT long retaining wall, backyard, heated driveway, paving all around, 3-tiered garden beds, and a new fence. The workspace was also constrained with very tight area to work in. With so many obstacles and my own high expectations, I interviewed a lot of contractors over 18 months. Most thought the job was too difficult or couldn't guarantee a positive outcome in every aspect of the project. This is where Dylan really stood out amongst the crowd: he's a problem solver who took then time necessary to find solutions from beginning to end, apprising us and always discussing options from planning, procurement and through construction. Always willing to work with us and ensure our concerns were addressed and expectations were met. The final result exceeded our expectations and I'm looking forward to working with Dylan in the spring to complete the plantings in the front and back. Thanks again, Dylan and team!!!
